Trampoline work out?

So have you been on a trampoline lately? Exercise city! The kids love their trampoline and can occasionally talk me into joining their madness! Scott is their favorite popper when we play popcorn. The kids go flying and the mom holds her breath . . . Enjoy!

Nick's Tips on how to make a minnow net!

It is Spring Break and my mind is on fishing and i needed a new minnow net, so I made one, here are the directions and pictures of my new invention.

  1. find a long bendable stick

  2. curve the stick at the end to make a loop

  3. secure the loop

  4. string and tape the loop

  5. ask mom for a pair of old pantyhose

  6. cut the leg out

  7. tie it around the loop of your stick

  8. make sure the hole stays in the middle

Have fun fishing. Minnows will catch crappie, bass, catfish, sand bass, and drum.

Four Wheeler Fun

After a hard days work ~ helping my Mom pull out 5 huge bushes ~ with an ax and shovel. It sure is nice to ride as fast as you can on a four-wheeler. I have a good helmet and it goes fast and it's camo (my four-wheeler.) Happy Riding!

Friends over Spring Break

Swimming Buddies!
Dancing with our friends!

Last Sunday we got together with our friends, Hannah and Cate. They are not our neighbors anymore, but they are still good friends. We went bowling and then went to eat hamburgers, french fries, and frozen custard. Cate is 11 and Hannah is 7. We like to swim together, play basketball, dance and skate! Friends are a nice thing to have.

Nick's Daily Tips

This is me with crappie and bass and catfish from Lake Eufala and Cody using a cast net in Florida to catch shad.

Alright this is Nickolas talking I am going to start a new thing called Nick's tips!

[ about bow making, hunting, and fishing, and books and life!]

  1. if you need book information please put it in the comments.

  2. 2. it is almost April, May, June so if you are going cat fishing make sure to bring lots of bait and a strong pole! Cat fish bait is worms or stink bait or shad. you catch shad with cast nets.

chow, Nickolas!

p.s if I don't know about a book I will try to find out!

Cousin Tory

We have lots of cousins. Some we see a lot, some we don't. We all like our cousin Tory, she lives in Springfield, Missori so we don't see her enough. She is nice. she is funny. we always have a good time with her especially when Aunnt Shari's there too. Here are some of our favorite picturs. kati

It is snowing!

Hello there from the Curry house. Yes, you read correctly, it is snowing. We are working hard on home schooling, Cody is making breakfast. Eggs in the middle of toast ~ he is really good at it. He gets the griddle out, butters the bread. He cuts a hole in the middle of the egg with a biscuit cutter, then crack the egg into the hole. He griddles this for a couple of minutes, and WOW! A healthy breakfast. Cody likes to put a little apple butter on his, the girls like jelly and Nick doesn't care. Today, we have home school PE at the YMCA. Love PE class. Mom loves it too! :) 2 hours of directed play and hard work, even swimming (aka babysitting.) Have a great day!

The Friendly Note

Good Morning!
I am the 4 kids mom, here to share a little peek into our days. In an attempt to keep things real on this blog I share with you this lovely note I found last night adorning my Kati's door. Now, I have told you that I am the mom, but I am also the home school mom, who looked at this note and said, "Yes!" Look at that spelling people, look at that penmanship! From a seven year old I see some promise!
Today we will discuss the selfishness of this note, the rude nature, not allowed in our home. But, for just a moment it was mom's encouragement. If she had remembered proper punctuation, we might have taken a holiday today! Oh well . . . keeping it real!
